We have a holistic approach to educating young people, by ensuring that our students receive quality guidance from our VIT registered teachers, in addition to support from our multidisciplinary wellbeing team; we’re able to achieve strong working relationships and positive outcomes.
We provide comprehensive support for students who require additional assistance, to help them overcome obstacles that may be preventing them from actively and successfully engaging in their learning and pathway goals. This includes but is not limited to:
- Development of an Individual Education Plan in consultation with the student; with support from their teacher, Learning & Engagement Coordinator and Education Support Coordinator
- Support from our Education Support Officer (Work Readiness) to provide job preparation advice and knowledge, along with the set up of suitable work placements with host employers
- Referral to our Education Support Officer (Student Wellbeing) for targeted learning engagement and life skills activities
- Referral to our Clinical Psychologist for counselling or additional individual support
