Advance College offers meaningful, hands-on pathway opportunities that prepare students for life beyond the classroom. Our Pathways Team works closely with students to provide individualised guidance, ensuring every student has a clear and achievable post-school plan.
Students can choose to study qualifications in different industry areas. These courses help them learn practical, job-related skills while also counting towards their senior secondary certificate.
For students doing VCE VM, VET is compulsory. This means they must complete a VET course to gain hands-on learning experience and develop skills that will help them get a job in the future.
Students gain valuable real-world insight through work experience and SWL placements aligned to their career interests. These placements allow students to develop workplace skills, build networks, and explore potential career pathways.
We encourage students to engage in community volunteering to build confidence, develop transferable skills, and foster a sense of social responsibility.
Eligible students can begin an apprenticeship or traineeship while completing their secondary studies. This pathway enables students to earn, learn, and gain industry qualifications simultaneously.
Our Pathways Team provides personalised career counselling and support for VCE VM and VPC students. We work closely with each student to explore career interests, identify strengths, and develop clear post-school goals. This includes pathway planning, course applications, resume writing, interview preparation, and employment readiness skills. We guide students every step of the way to ensure they feel confident and prepared for their future.
