Offsite Breaks

All students under 18 years of age are to remain on campus during the normal class day, including break times. If any student is to leave the campus boundaries before their scheduled end of class time or during break times, ACE must be provided with consent from the student’s parent or guardian. This consent acknowledges that they are allowing their child or dependent to leave the campus without supervision and are no longer under the College duty of care.

At lunchtime we allow students the opportunity to stretch their legs and walk to local eateries:

  • Students at the Rosebud Campus can attend Buddies Café which is adjacent to the school and a 3-minute walk with parent permission, staff supervision occurs at the café.
  • Students at the Hasting Campus can attend the ‘Pop a Pie’ at the service station over the road, which is a 3-minute walk, with parent permission, staff supervision occurs at the crossing.

These offsite breaks are dependent on students maintaining the values of the College and behaving appropriately within the community.
